Hope at Twilight

This photograph (bigger image) shows us a twilight view of the beautiful new billboard put up by our
members in Florida. On today's program, Mr. Strom details not only the
efforts of proud and decent Whites to build community and hope, but
also the increasing acceptance of racial ideas in the academic and
scientific communities.

IMAGINE IT IS TWILIGHT as you travel down
the expressway on your way to Tampa. The sunset has just passed and
gold fire still illuminates the western sky. Lights are beginning to
come on and the birds are flocking together, singing their evening
songs, looking for a place to rest after another day of the joy and
struggle of life.
The illumination of the billboards you pass
on the highway is just barely detectable as the light fades, giving the
ads a subtle glow as you go by: Holiday Inn hawks its dinners where
"kids eat free" with an image of a Black boy with his arm around a
White girl, both smiling broadly. British Petroleum promises clean
restrooms and the largest possible selection of junk food. The next
sign proclaims, "Gentlemen's Club next exit, XXX adult toys." Another
clearly implies that those who drink a particular brand of whiskey will
become irresistible to the opposite sex. Across the way we see the
beaming smiles of the multiracial local TV news team, none of whom had
ever lived in the area prior to being recruited by the faceless New
York corporation that employs them. A line on the billboard promotes
their coverage of the games of the local professional basketball team,
nearly all of whose members were also recruited from distant cities --
or African tribes -- and whose owners soak up local money to swell
their counting houses elsewhere.
In the distance, another billboard, set
apart from the rest, comes slowly into focus. It shows a lovely White
woman seated in a field of flowers. She has no Black arm around her.
She is part of no multiracial "team." Her fair skin is softly shining
in the lights as you get closer. She is the image of natural beauty,
innocence, wholesomeness. You notice she bears the symbol of life on
her simple White dress. The message, too, is simple: "News. For us. For a change." And then the url of our news site, NationalVanguard.org,
in letters thirty feet across. Different enough and intriguing enough
to get people to visit -- our kind of people. Our people.
There are few greater thrills than to come
over the rise on the expressway at twilight and see our billboard
there, dominating the horizon. It's a statement for White community and
White media that cannot be ignored. The painting of the White woman,
entitled Life's Spring, is by the sensitive and talented artist Alfred Sundvall, whose work I have featured before as National Vanguard magazine cover art and as the CD and cassette cover art for the music album Call of the Blood by Dresden. And the billboard has definitely increased our Web traffic
-- we are getting a very noticeable increase in letters at the site
from people who had never heard about us before, and from the tone of
the letters, there's a real demand for the stereotype-shattering news
and commentary and fiction and poetry and art that we offer.
Thanks to the hard work and dedication of
local activists, there are currently three billboards spreading our
message of hope and community for White people, sponsored by National
Vanguard members in Florida, Utah, and Nevada.
Our Las Vegas billboard, which reads "Stop
Immigration," was initially a victim of Jewish censorship efforts.
Jewish groups put heavy pressure on Clear Channel Communications, the
sign company, to take the billboard down in violation of our contract
-- and they initially succeeded. (A similar campaign, which included
terroristic threats and severe harassment against one of our billboard
providers in Florida, occurred last year.) Local NV activists went to
court and demanded that the contract be honored, and the billboard
company was required to re-erect our sign, which they did a few weeks
ago. But now the billboard is down again -- we believe temporarily.
Ultimately failing in their efforts to censor through the billboard
company itself, the censors instead targeted the businesses located
directly under and near the sign: A report on Las Vegas television
station KVBC states that:
"The billboard is blamed for vandalism at
nearby businesses. Those store owners said they were unfairly linked to
the message above their businesses."
There's every reason to believe that the
vandals had as their ultimate aim the removal of the billboard. There's
every reason to believe that the vandals are the same would-be censors
whose initial intimidation efforts failed. In this they will ultimately
fail, too -- because the sign company is required by court order to
fulfill its contract, which means that even if pressure or threats of
legal action by the local business owners -- who ought to be suing the
censorship and vandalism crowd, not the sign company -- caused the
billboard to go down on this street, by law it must be re-erected in a
location equally or even more desirable. And the news coverage spreads
our message of hope -- and our contact information -- farther than

In our next issue of V newspaper,
we'll be talking about some very important issues and ideas, issues and
ideas which we must understand if we are going to be effective stewards
of the next generation of White children. We'll be taking a look at a
new book by Frank Salter which has launched a startling new concept in
the academic and scientific worlds -- that of "ethnic genetic
interests." Brilliant writer Michael Polignano will review the work of
Dr. Salter, and how it meshes with an enlightened understanding of
White nationalism, community, and survival. Let me give you a brief
preview of what Mr. Polignano has to say:
'Salter states that all living things have
"genetic interests," namely, each life form has an interest in passing
its genes on to the next generation. ...self-sacrificial altruistic
behavior towards family and extended family can increase one's own
genetic representation in future generations. In other words, under
certain circumstances an animal can protect its genetic interests
through altruistic behavior even if that behavior hurts the animal's
own chances of reproductive success. Salter ventures into new territory
by applying this concept to ethnic groups (or "ethnies," the term
Salter prefers) whose members share much of their genes. Ethnic kinship
thus becomes a natural extension of family kinship.
'One does not require extensive
genealogical histories to measure kinship between two individuals:
kinship can be quantitatively assessed through gene assay data. ...It's
worth pointing out that the frequently-cited objection that pure races
don't exist due to population admixture does not invalidate the concept
of ethnic genetic interests. As long as average differences in gene
frequencies exist between ethnies, distinct ethnic genetic interests
exist.
'Births and deaths that occur within one's
immediate family have a tremendous emotional impact, but the gradual
decline of a race due to low birthrates and nonviolent immigration of
foreigners does not. Salter gives these losses greater emotional
reality by equating them with the loss of specific numbers of children
or siblings. Salter explains that these losses are not merely symbolic,
nor are they diminished by being spread across an entire ethnic group.
The loss applies to every randomly-chosen member of the ethny: "for a
native woman it is equivalent to the loss of her children and grandchildren, for a native man it is equivalent to the loss of his children and grandchildren." The same holds true for every member of
the ethny. Accordingly, Salter argues that ethnic genetic interests are
much larger than familial genetic interests.
'Salter notes that Englishmen and Danes,
though the genetic distance between the two populations is not great,
are nonetheless distinct. He calculates that if 10,000 Danes were to
take the place of 10,000 Englishmen, the loss of genetic interests to
the English would be equivalent to losing 167 English children (or
siblings). Numerically speaking, the replacement of 10,000 Englishmen
with 10,000 Danes is a loss of 10,000 Englishmen. Genetically speaking,
it is a loss of only 167, because Danes are genetically similar to the
English, so most of the English genes lost are shared by the Danes who
replace them. Salter is not claiming that each and every Englishman
loses the genetic equivalent of 167 children or siblings, but that the
English people as a whole lose this number. Yet each and every
Englishman is related to those who are lost. If, however, 10,000 Bantu
immigrants replaced 10,000 Englishmen, the genetic equivalent of 10,854
English children or siblings would be lost. How does the loss due to
replacement exceed the number of those replaced? Salter explains, "Some
ethnies are so different genetically that they amount to negative
stores of those distinct genes."
'Salter shows that interracial immigration
is most damaging to ethnic genetic interests: "It requires only 1.1
African immigrants to depress the European genetic interest by the
equivalent of one child (or vice versa). But it takes 59.9 Danish
immigrants to have the same effect on the English population, or 27
Polish immigrants on Germans, or 42 English immigrants on Irish (and
all vice versa)." Regarding America, "Americans of European and African
descent have lost, and are losing, the equivalent of millions of
children due to post-1965 immigration." Salter also examines the
effects of racial intermarriage on genetic interests. He starts with J.
P. Rushton's Genetic Similarity Theory ("GST") which states that
marriage within one's ethnic group is adaptive because the children
that result share more than 50 percent of their parent's distinctive
gene varieties (or "alleles"). This is because parents within the same
ethny have many distinctive alleles in common. The theory also proposes
that parents of the same ethny may treat their children better than
parents in mixed marriages, because the biological similarity of parent
and child leads to more intimate bonding. Salter then analyzes how much
more related a parent will be to his children if he marries within his
ethny rather than outside of it. An Englishman who marries an
Englishwoman instead of a Danish woman only gains a one percent greater
relatedness to his offspring, but would be 92 percent more related to
his offspring if the rejected potential spouse were a Bantu. That is to
say, marrying within his ethny means his children will carry 92 percent
more of his genes than they would if he married a Bantu.
"After laying the scientific groundwork for
ethnic genetic interests, Salter discusses their ethical and political
implications. He writes, "It is parents' duty to care for their
children. Do we have a similar duty to nurture our ethnies? . . . When
ethnic competition is high, as is the case in competition between
members of different races, failure to show ethnic loyalty is the
genetic equivalent of betraying a child or a grandchild." He argues
that "it would be prudent for a population to defend its most precious
collective interest-distinctive genes carried by the ethny-with the
most powerful means at its disposal." Yet to date, "no state yet
developed has reliably kept its promise as an adaptive ethnic group
strategy."'

Clearly, the idea of the state as the
guardian of the genetic heritage of its people is a radical idea -- and
the fundamental idea behind our Cause. It is extremely significant that
this concept is gaining ground in the scientific community. Mr.
Polignano's review is thorough and extensive, and covers Mr. Salter's
ideas in critical detail. You won't want to miss it.
Also in upcoming issues, you'll find a new
piece by Robert J. Sullivan detailing how the Politically Correct
censors and Jewish supremacists came to power in the academy during the
20th century. There are many lessons for us in his story of the
"Frankfurt School," a think tank and incubator for almost every
destructive idea used against the White West in the last 50 years. If
you want to understand how the Jewish supremacists undermined the West,
the fraudulent nature of their "movements," and create new strategies

Here's a sample:
'[W]hy does Marxism survive? Part of the
answer is found in the Frankfurt School. The legacy of this Institute
is one that is effecting disastrous foundational change in America on a
continual basis. To better understand the destructive influence of this
"school" and the artificial pearls of wisdom it cast into the world, it
is necessary to inquire of the conscious subversives that conceived the
Institute, and review its purpose, output and subsequent movement in
the Western world....
'In 1922, Kurt Albert Gerlach, close friend
of Richard Sorge (later a Soviet spy) and co-attendee with Weil, of the
Marxist Study Week(s), was offered a professorship at Frankfurt
University along with an opportunity to found, with Weil, an institute
that would focus on "scientific Marxism." Gerlach, himself a left-wing
Social Democrat, assumed the task of presenting to the University the
Marxist pill he and Weil wanted them to swallow. In a letter to the
University, Gerlach only casually mentions Marxism, buried in the
context of "�social life in its broadest sense." Through the agency of
this letter, Gerlach translates the principles and methodology of
Marxism into "Democratic" sounding terms and succeeds in duping the
University into accepting his proposal. However, the crucial factor in
ensuring Weil and Gerlach the success and independence they coveted was
the leverage afforded them by Weil's father endowing the University
with the necessary funds for such a venture. These champions of
"scientific" inquiry sought not only the prestige of the University's
influence for the work that would flow from an institute affiliated
with it, they sought to be unaccountable to it at the same time. ...At
a time when the German mark was rapidly approaching four trillion to
the dollar, Hermann Weil agreed to finance the building and equipping
of the Institute. Additionally, he would ensure a substantial yearly
grant to it, supply a lower floor to the Faculty of Economics and
Social Science and fund the Chair that the Institute's director would
hold. Thus was the Society for Social Research incorporated...
"What a large percentage of the population
does not realize is that a major component in the workings of Marxism
is one of "what will move the revolution forward." Even programs,
policies or individuals that fail, or that have only limited use can
still serve this dictum. Failure is not the point. Mediocrity is not
the point. Even if a plan fails or a person is of limited use, either
can be replaced or re-engineered for the presentation of another plan
that is closer to the Marxist ideal than the opposing entity. This is
the Marxist principle of compromise. When the input of an individual is
unworkable it can still serve to enable others to revise it so it more
closely resembles the ideology which is the underlying driving force.
In contradistinction to Supreme Court Justice, Oliver Wendell Holmes'
statement that: "Revolutions are not made by men in spectacles," [the
Institute's director], Horkheimer, knew better and he was in the
process of proving it. He and his colleagues were not bomb throwing
anarchists. The good Justice, also, had forgotten Lev Davidovich
Bronstein (a.k.a., Leon Trotsky). Holding a doctorate in Literature,
[Institute alumnus and intellectual guru of the New Left] Herbert
Marcuse would be instrumental in force fitting Marxist distortions onto
almost anything existing in Western literature. He was inducted into
the Institute in 1933. In one of the more humorous historical ironies,
Marcuse, a Jew, had been an assistant to Martin Heidegger, who was
later revealed to have been a closet supporter of the National
Socialists. Marcuse, promoted by the press as a "giant" of the
"intelligentsia" was destined to pollute the academic, intellectual
gene pool in the United States to a negative extent that was only
exceeded by the height of his true insignificance. The Left has an
uncanny ability for immortalizing the inane.'
As you read this in-depth exposé of the
inner workings of the conscious subverters of the intellectual
integrity and scholarly traditions of the West, you will come to
understand that, whatever their political affiliations and variations,
underneath it all is an ethnic consciousness and solidarity, the inner
identity-feeling which has given us Jewish supremacism. The same ethnic
consciousness that gave us the Marxist critique of the Old America and
undermined its biological and intellectual foundations is the same
ethnic consciousness that makes the New America they have built the
conqueror of subject peoples under the banner of neoconservatism.
Remember the Leftist and even overtly Trostkyist roots of the neocons
who now run Washington. The common threads between a Herbert Marcuse a
Paul Wolfowitz are there for all to see -- in Robert Sullivan's article
on the Frankfurt School.
