Capt. Eric H. May HOUSTON, 2/16/11 -- It's usually more fun to report the news than to be the news, and the present case is no exception. Yesterday something notable occurred in my quadriplegic corner of Texas. My latest analysis, Insidious Israel vs. Emerging Egypt, went global. This morning my household woke early and discovered that we were without hot water, which led to the discovery that the gas wasn't working. We were advised to treat it as a possible gas leak, with the dual dangers of suffocation and explosion. I can't move, nor can I easily be moved, so my family opened all the windows, set up air monitors, and stayed beside me. I dislike these gas gremlins, who rudely spoil my mood the day after such a popular article! Still, all's well that ends well, I suppose.
