[Editor's Note: This short newspaper article is ironic and chilling once you realize that the New York City-based propaganda that Tom Chittum found in a Viet Cong jungle camp was funded and created by the same Orwellian, New World Order folks that manipulated America into Vietnam and later into Iraq and Afghanistan. See such books as Serpent's Sting and Viper's Venom by Col Donn de Grand Pre and Sgt Skull's Field Manual by Tom Chittum to help inform you about who they are and how they operate.]
. . ."About four days ago I was beating brush and spotted a Viet Cong camp. I flipped in a grenade and later ran into it."
. . .This is an incident described in a letter by Pfc. Thomas W. Chittum, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. James R. Chittum of Findlay, in which he found propaganda leaflets left by the Viet Cong during combat duty in Viet Nam.
. . .Chittum's father is a tool designer for Caterpillar Tractor Co. in Decatur.
. . .The letter continues:
. . ."Charlie (the Viet Cong) wasn't there, thank God. All over the place were propaganda letters.
. . ."Next operation we go on I'm going to tape one of those on to a grenade and return it to the National Liberation Front. Hope they get a big bang out of it. I did."
. . .Adding statements on a leaflet that Chittum sent home to his parents are:
. . ."The South Vietnamese people have won and will win."
. . ."The U.S. Government has been defeated and will be completely defeated."
. . ."Demand peace in Viet Nam and your return to your homeland and families."
. . ."Sympathize with and support the just struggle of the South Vietnamese people."
. . .The leaflet contains a long list of names of men who are said to be of draft age and who refuse to fight against the people of Viet Nam.
. . .The leaflet carries carries the information that it is issued by the Youth against war and fascism organization in New York.
. . .Chittum also recently wrote home on a "C" ration box lid, when he had run out of paper. He explained that the box had contained fried ham, his favorite "C" ration meal.
. . .On the box lid, Chittum wrote of a previous operation when a Viet Cong recruiter was shot by men on his patrol. The killed man was said to have made a trip to Red China according to papers found on his body, Chittum said.
. . .Chittum, a paratrooper, has been with the 173rd Army Brigade in Viet Nam for almost a year and is expected to be transferred back to the United States some time in May.
. . .Before going to Viet Nam he spent a year in Okinawa.
